Mariano Vivanco for Vogue Homme International
by Alice Byrne
For the latest issue of Vogue Homme International, Mariano Vivanco creates this interesting male fashion editorial around the concept of alternative police mug-shots with the same model. With the male model taking on several different personas throughout the editorial, the series is appropriately named The Chameleon. One of Vogue Homme International’s greatest fashion editors Francesco Cominelli helps create the look for this editorial, selecting designs from iconic labels including Balmain, Lacroix, Missoni, Dries van Noten, Paul & Joe, Lacoste, Tom Ford and Givenchy.
This is a really great concept for a fashion editorial, and the continuous transformation of the model looks fantastic. The concept of the chameleon means that the fashion choices here are so varied and contrasting, and with this creative direction it completely works. Our favorite photograph is the image from Los Angeles, Peter Taylor. There are so many great textures and colors in this photograph, and the whole image just looks flawless.
