Coco Rocha’s New Jewelry Line
by Keesean Moore
Canadian super model Coco Rocha’s career has pretty much become the epitome of drama and haute elegance. Her new jewelry collaboration with Senhoa (pronounced “suh-no-a”) is no exception. Senhoa has supported victims of human trafficking in 3rd world countries since 2010, and with this collaboration they hope to continue their mission of providing “income-generating opportunities, social reintegration and programs for self-empowerment” for women around the world.
The ulra-luxe collection is made using clear, black, and multi-colored Swarovski crystals, and channels the almost feline fierceness of Coco Rocha’s iconic face. The entire series was made by hand in Cambodia and 100% of the proceeds go directly to fund Senhoa’s community development projects.
Replete with dramatic claw-like jewels and beautifully draped silver, the collection has an equally powerful tagline “Accessorize your conscience.” According to Rocha “Accessorizing can do more than just compliment a woman’s wardrobe and beauty—it can make a statement about what she believes in.”
The collection has seven styles – two sets of earrings, two bracelets, one necklace and two draped silver harnesses with prices ranging from $60 to $195, with the exception of one statement crystal harness named RACHANY (Meaning “Night”) that retails for $995.
For the collection’s campaign, Rocha enlisted the help of her well-known peers Iman—who has always been a vocal advocate for human rights around the world – Caroline Trentini, and Behati Prinsloo and was shot by Nigel Barker and Jamie Beck, reported WWD.
