SS2012 Beauty Trend – No Mascara

The beauty of no makeup can be as beautiful as adding it. These runway shows decided on a natural no mascara look.

Christopher Kane Runway SS2012

While most cat walks were filled with fierce makeup and devotion to the eyes and lashes, there were quite a few that decided on a really clean, natural no mascara look.

Makeup artist Lucia Pieroni for the Christopher Kane show decided to simply curl the lashes to go along with the natural look with lightly rosey cheeks (Pieroni states “It’s almost as if she’s run up a hill”).

Pieroni also keyed Missoni’s show where the models had an almost not there look, calling it the “morning after look” where the was no mascara to be found.

This look really gives woman a beautiful fresh look and almost bring a new draw to their eyes because you’re seeing something you are not used to… a bare undone eye.

Another stunning natural unlashed look was for the Carolina Herrera show. MAC Makeup artist Diane Kendal popped the eyes by using MAC Fluideline in Blacktrack and left the lashes alone.

This trend is really beautiful if you’re going for a fresh look.  Personally, I would suggest curling the lashes to give an extra pop.  But the no mascara look is almost more alluring because it is now so foreign to people.
