The editor of Vogue magazine has become increasingly involved in politics recently, hosting fundraising events for US President Barack Obama.

Several publications have claimed this could lead to her becoming the US ambassador to London in the future. The person who currently holds the post is due to retire later this year.

“These are just rumors. She’s quite happy at her current job,” the spokesperson insisted to New York Post.

Anna is due to be at Obama fundraisers in New York City and Chicago later this week.

As well as hosting events for the president Anna also began the Runway to Win initiative, which has worked hard to raise funds for Obama’s re-election campaign.

She recently spoke out after the president publicly backed gay marriage.

“I am thrilled. There were tears in the office at Vogue today in the support of gay marriage. We’re thrilled about the president,” she said.
