Erin Wasson decided to model for One Teaspoon after falling in love with their denim shorts.

The supermodel’s naturally bohemian style and love of denim works hand in hand with the Australian swimwear label’s campaign. Head designer Jamie Blakely revealed how the collaboration came to be.

“Erin saw our denim shorts in New York and loved them so much that she picked some up from us when she visited Australia,” Jamie explained to Vogue Australia. “We kept in contact, so when I visited Los Angeles in January I asked her if she wanted to do the campaign and she said yes. It worked out great.”

Jamie maximized the impact of having Erin model the brand by picking an ideal location for the photoshoot. They headed to Venice Beach for the campaign look book and accompanying video, which was directed by surf filmmaker Taylor Steele and Todd Heater.

“The campaign was inspired by Los Angeles and Australia, they share a similar lifestyle, so it felt very natural,” Jamie explained when interviewed during Miami Swim Show. “The beaches, the cities – it all reminds me of back home.”
