You know it’s the end of the week when a simple tweet from British Vogue can make one do a double—ok, triple—take, and that’s exactly what happened when they tweeted that John Galliano signed a new licensing deal this morning. One’s first, and very wrong, reaction could be a “he’s baaaack” and a “whoa.” Then, after said person had some coffee and was able to digest that the tweet was much more innocent and really only announcing that his line had found a new home, all would make sense again. So, to all of those who are just getting their first sips of caffeine and becoming a human again, let’s clarify: the fashion house of John Galliano signed a three-year licensing deal with Italian manufacturer Ittierre SpA, who will produce and distribute the menswear, womenswear, and accessories starting with the 2013-2014 autumn/winter line.
