Makeup Trends Spring 2013: Bold Brows, Part 4 of 6
The year is finally over, and as we begin a new one we want to put the best face forward. Taking inspiration from icons of the past to images in nature, artists created looks on the runway that made a serious statement. Colors were more vibrant, skin was a little brighter, and eyes were bold with drama in full effect. It’s been a few seasons wince we have seen so many options, au natural being favored in lieu of brazen beauty for Spring, but 2013 is loud and very, no pun intended, in your face.
Bold brows are usually a Springtime favorite, a touch of mild masculinity paired with glowing feminine skin is a duo that is a classic heart stopper that never goes out of style. Marc Jacobs transported the audience to an Edie Sedgwick inspired time warp and kept sporty and chic at Versace, Narciso Rodriguez, and Zac Posen. Achieve adventurous arches by filling them in with M.A.C.’s Eye Brow pencils in Fling and Lingering, or achieve a softer look with Estée Lauders’s Automatic Brow Pencil Duo in Soft Brown.
