The show must go, even under sad and tragic circumstances. Missoni knows this to its core and put on a show despite Vittorio Missoni’s disappearance. And the fall winter 2013 ready-to-wear collection seemed to mirror this resilience.

Models started the show in pajama-like garments—some of the most high-end pajamas possible. Wet hair and light make-up helped transform this look as more and more models paraded down the runway almost acting out the getting ready process. Long kimono style robes and silky pants made the act of getting ready luxurious and almost impossible.

Who would ever want to take off those clothes? Well, a girl wearing gorgeous Mod inspired dresses with to-dream-for panel tights. Toning down the normally bright color scheme for the cooler months (don’t worry, it wasn’t all grey, there were the to-die-for chartreuse pajama pants and blues that popped!), greys, blacks, and more neutral tones created the base of the collection. And that iconic Missoni print? Not to be found! Instead, opting for subtler graphic patterns and more of the peek-a-boo trend that’s been heavy on the runway circuit.

We just have one question for Missoni-where’s our invite to your slumber party? Don’t worry, we RSVP in advance.
